Why buy a seat from Rick Mayer? |
Knowledge As a Critical Care Nurse with a background in Orthopedics, I understand the relationship between anatomy, pressure, and pain and I know how to relieve it. As a motorcyclist I understand how this all relates to two wheels and a butt.
|
Experience
My Father, Bill Mayer, taught me to sew when I was 12 years old. He taught me saddle building in 1975. I am the only Mayer that built saddles before he passed away. I have personally built thousands of custom saddles.
|
Pride
It's like my dad said, "If you don't take the time to do it right, when will you find the time to do it over?" I take great pride in each and every saddle I make. I make every saddle as if it were for my bike!
|
Detail
Perfect top stitches, matching the grain of the leather, tying the ends of seams as would a surgeon, to name a few are examples of the type of attention to detail given each one of my fine saddles. Detail not found in a mass produced, 'assembly line' product.
